Ganbatte Ikimasshoi

Ganbatte Ikimasshoi is a typical sports drama where five novices who know nothing about rowing rise to become champions in their own way. There is a country feel with use of the Matsuyama dialect that really shows other parts of Japan than just Tokyo where a lot of dramas are based.

Etsuko Shinomura, played by Suzuki Anne, is a typical teenager who just entered high school. She strives to enter the girls rowing club of the school to find out that there is only a boys club. Despite her situation, Etsuko beings to recruit memebers to create a girls rowing team.

Etsuko is soon presented with new problems of being the captain, finding a coach, going through rough training and having relationship problems among friends, family, and boys. However, with her team, Etsuko is able to overcome these obstacles with friendship, hard work, hope, and perseverence.
